The critical consideration in fixed barbells is safety, especially when members are lifting the equipment above their heads in a standing or prone position. A falling plate or snapping bar can cause serious injury or worse. That's why we fasten the plates with bolts, not welds. Ask any engineer. Welds break, bolts don't. And our Permalock™ Fastening System is so strong it would take up to 400 foot pounds of torque -- the power of a V8 engine -- to loosen it. All items are available in 20 lbs. thru 140 lbs. in 5 lb. or 10 lb. increments.
